These terms set out the contract between you and Morgan Brown Consultancy Ltd when you use Go SQE1. They are written in plain English on purpose, but they are still a legal contract — please read them. By creating an account, you confirm that you accept these terms in full.

§1Acceptance & age#

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Go SQE1, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept either, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. Go SQE1 is designed for adults preparing for professional qualifications and is not intended for children. If we discover that an account belongs to a person under 18, we will delete it.

If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

§2Account registration & security#

You must give us accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and email us at [email protected] immediately.

Each account is for one named individual; sharing an account with another person is a breach of these terms (see §4).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

§3Licence to use#

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Go SQE1 for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

This licence does not include the right to:

  • Modify, copy, or create derivative works based on the platform or its content.
  • Use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering methods on the platform.
  • Sublicense, sell, or transfer your access to any third party.
  • Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

§4Acceptable use#

You agree not to:

  • Share, distribute, or reproduce any questions, answers, or other content from the platform.
  • Share your account or credentials with any other person, or use a single account for more than one human user.
  • Attempt to circumvent any security features or access restrictions.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scripts, headless browsers) to extract content or simulate study activity.
  • Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Breach of any of the above may result in suspension or termination of your account under §8.

§5Intellectual property#

All content on the platform — including questions, explanations, text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Morgan Brown Consultancy Ltd or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Independence statement. All practice questions are independently authored by our team and are not produced, reviewed, endorsed, or affiliated with any awarding body, examining body, or professional qualification provider, unless explicitly stated. Names of awarding bodies and qualifications are used solely for descriptive purposes to identify the syllabus.

Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. The licence in §3 is your only right to use our content, and that licence does not extend to copying, redistribution, or use in a competing product.

You retain ownership of any feedback or suggestions you provide to us, but you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use such feedback to improve the platform.

§6Disclaimers#

Educational purpose only

Go SQE1 is an educational practice tool designed to supplement your exam preparation. It is not a substitute for comprehensive study, professional training courses, the official syllabus, or official study materials provided by examining bodies. Nothing on the platform constitutes professional advice for a real-world situation.

No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee that using Go SQE1 will result in passing any examination. Pass rates depend on many factors, including your prior knowledge, total study time, and the specific content of the official examination. Our readiness scores are an internal estimate based on your activity within the platform, not a prediction of any specific exam outcome.

Content accuracy

We make every reasonable effort to keep our questions and explanations aligned with the current syllabus and applicable standards. Despite this, errors and outdated material may exist. If you find an error, report it via the in-app flag or email us. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on any specific question or explanation.

Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation. We may schedule maintenance windows and will give reasonable advance notice of significant ones where we can.

§7Limitation of liability#

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Morgan Brown Consultancy Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, opportunity, examination failure, missed deadlines, or other intangible losses — arising from your use or inability to use the platform, any errors in the content, or any examination results or professional outcomes.

Our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute, or otherwise — is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Statutory consumer rights are not affected.

§8Termination#

Termination by you

You may close your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. Closure takes effect immediately. If you have a paid subscription, closing your account also cancels future renewals; you retain paid access until the end of the current billing period unless you ask us to terminate it sooner.

Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform, with or without notice, if you breach these terms — in particular §4 (acceptable use) or §5 (intellectual property), if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your conduct may cause harm to us, other users, or third parties. Where the breach is minor and remediable, we will normally give you a chance to put it right first.

On termination, your licence to use the service ends immediately, and we may delete your account data subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy §6. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

§9Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

§10Governing law & jurisdiction#

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you reside, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules applicable to you under the law of that jurisdiction.

§11Contact#

For any question about these terms, write to [email protected] or by post to Morgan Brown Consultancy Ltd, United Kingdom.
